Hello! I am James Friedmann, and I am 37 years old and I was a sufferer of panic disorder. It was so bad that I was on the verge of losing my life, job and family. But I was successful in overcoming panic attacks and I would like to guide you into how I did it; because panic disorders are very serious and if untreated, they get only worse.
Panic attack symptoms, while different from person to person, usually follow the same routine - out of nowhere an anxious thought comes to your mind, you can't deal with it and your anxiety rises and rises until your blood starts racing and you feel like your chest could rupture because of how tight it feels. You are filled with thoughts of doom. These are the panic attacks symptoms.
One thing I realized about my panic attacks were that my general level of anxiety had risen to new heights because of the fear of a new anxiety attack episode, because they seemed to be popping out from nowhere. This fear, coupled with the fear that "I was on the edge, and the next panic attack could be the worst yet, and push me down the edge", was one of the reasons that I was having the attacks in the first place. So, the episodes were feeding on themselves and there was a cycle of fear. For overcoming panic attacks, this circle had to be broken.
